1. On the Craigslist Monterey home page, in the right column, is the jobs heading.
2. Click a search title and you will access jobs listed in that field by the date it was listed and
where the job is located.
3.The job listing font is in dark blue. When you log on to read it and then log off to
continue your search the job listing color will turn light purple. This helps over the weeks to
tell what listings you have already looked at.
4. Each job listing will be a little different and could include:
A. Job Title
B. Job description
C. Job requirements
D. Part time or Full time
E. Qualifications
F. Wage, wage range or just compensation hourly TBD. (to be discussed)
G. The hours to be worked.
H. A link to reply:
* located at the top left of listing or
* at the bottom left after wage rate
5. Read the listing well, each one has different information.
6. Don't let the job qualifications stop you from applying. Some may say "do not apply if
you do not qualify", most don't.
7. Be bold, the more you talk with employers the better chance you have getting hired.
8. Even if you don't get an interview going through the process of responding to opportunities
will become second nature and your confidence will grow.
9. At the bottom of the page is a link, email to a friend, I often will send all my possible job
listings to myself and audition them all altogether.
10. If you respond to an add, email it to yourself and save it in a file. This really helps keeping
track of your possibilities.
